The Journey...

When I started in photography 8 years ago I was focused on product photography. Traveling from art fair to studio I was introduced to many creatives across vastly different industries from potters to glassblowers. Each product had a unique way it had to be presented to best encapsulate the hard work and dedication of the artist.

Two years ago I got an opportunity to jump into the world of real estate with the help of a great mentor. I took the plunge and while diving through the vast and complicated world of being a buyers agent I realized that many of the same aspects of product photography were present in real estate as well.

"This is the one with the blue couch!" became the calling card of each new home I walked into with a client. Because buyers had already researched homes and had seen the photographs they had an image in their head of what the home would be like. Of course the negatives were there as well. "O... this home isn't anything like in the photos." Was one of the most heart breaking statements I heard. The more homes I showed the more I yearned to get back to my passion in photography.

After a year of being a Real Estate agent I decided to dip back into photography. I become the primary photography for all the listings on my team and started traveling to Helen, GA shooting rental cabins. It was then I decided I needed to focus back into what made me passionate.

Hours could fly by while I edited till 2am in the morning and I didn't mind. So now here I am back to doing what I love with a new knowledge set that I believe enhances my abilities to take photos that truly showcase a property or product to it's highest level.
